Health Technology & Media

CRHC faculty are exploring the intersection of behavioral health, technology, and media, as well as investigating methods for using technology to improve the delivery of health care.

Faculty

Martina Anto-Ocrah, PhD, MPH, MT(ASCP)

In the Anto-Ocrah laboratory, we explore how mobile phone technology and social media are used to bridge patient/provider gaps, particularly in "resource limited" populations. We also use social media as a recruitment and analytic platform to understand the healthcare needs and behaviors of target populations in the United States and internationally. Dr. Anto-Ocrah is a member of the Global Advisory Council for NODE.Health.

Sonya Borrero, MD, MS

Dr. Borrero is leading a FemTech collaborative to design women’s health-targeted technologies, including apps and other tools, to improve maternal, postpartum, and other kinds of care.

Karlyn Edwards, PhD

Dr. Edwards' research is focused on developing and studying brief digital interventions for chronic pain and opioid misuse/opioid use disorder.

Tamar Krishnamurti, PhD

Dr. Krishnamurti develops and evaluates digital health tools and machine learning-based interventions to improve patient engagement and medical decision-making. She has overseen implementation of digital health tools both within and outside the healthcare system.

Wei-Hsuan "Jenny" Lo-Ciganic, PhD, MS, MSPharm
